About Us

The Service Development and Agricultural Development Organization (ODSAD) is a national, non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, non-partisan, non-sectarian humanitarian organization that provides relief and development assistance to those in need. It is headquartered in Takhar and is registered with the Ministry of Economy under number 2669. The organization was established in 2012 and received legal approval from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The activities of the organization meet the needs of women, capacity building for women and girls, education, handicrafts, health, schools, Food Distribution, agriculture and reconstruction, clinics, bridges, Training in the production and processing of women's vegetables and related matters. 2. He has also worked with AKF, ME, and the Ministry of AgricultureThe. Its area of activity is Kabul, Mazar, Badakhshan and Takhar. Afghan government aid agencies are spending millions of dollars to provide employment opportunities for young people in national and international markets. Due to political and peace issues, poverty has spread and increased in Afghanistan, with unemployment and poverty rates being significantly higher. The problem of unemployment with the increase in the unemployment rate in Afghanistan, which in December 2015 increased from 25% in December 2014 to 40%. The unemployment rate averaged 10.40% from 1991 to 2015, and peaked at 40% in 2015. Lowest at 8.00% in 2013 (Source: Business Economics (Economic Indicators), 2017) This means that young people More women and girls are entering the Afghan labor market, but unfortunately do not have the capacity to attract the unemployed, including young men and women. Afghanistan not only has the highest unemployment ratio in whole of Asia but it also has the 4th highest unemployment ratio in the whole world. One of the main reasons of this high unemployment is the unplanned education and career planning for the youth. The university/institutes graduates, especially those from TVET institutions, are unable to work in a practical work environment, resulting into the high unemployment.

The growing sector specific labor market in Afghanistan can only with proper planned career counseling efforts reduce unemployment, eradication of poverty and development of a healthy business environment for better economic growth and development. This can only be done through capacity building and career counselling of Afghan youth especially the women who are seeking employment so that they can determine a suitable career path and thereby ensure their absorption in the labor market and contribute to the development of Afghanistan. ODSAD works at the grass root level and has always tried to build the human resources at community level. The ODSAD Program focuses on agriculture decampment, formers support, civil rights, education, health and economic empowerment of marginalized women and girls and inculcates values like commitment; accountability; mutual respect; and integrity within all the programs and related work. The programs are implemented with holistic approach that is need based and do not thrive on any pre-determined packages rather they all have and envisage cross cutting themes in internationally recognized and accepted participatory approaches like social mobilization; human and institutional development (capacity building); environment; viable village; and gender mainstreaming. For this purpose ODSAD invests in people through directly providing support for Health; WASH, Education; and economic empowerment of women and girls besides working for prevent and responding to GBV and providing survivors of GBV with social and psychological counselling, legal assistance, case management and advocates to increase women’s legal protection; promoting equal rights for women and girls to ensure they have an active role in the Afghani community through enhancing their social, political, economic and cultural participation. ODSAD is striving to build up its reputation for delivering good quality development programs for women and their families because of its honesty and transparency.

Our Mission

ODSAD) is a nongovernmental and nonpolitical organization working in provoking and upgrading all society members specially agriculture, horticulture, developing services and women and economical cultural social and right affaires. We believe that vby upgrading of planter and farmers as well as women capacity, economic, social, cultural and human rights sectors and required vocational training to enable them to participate indecisions, administrative and working infrastructure of the country through expert master trainers of communication and coordination affair with all other departments by holding peace restoring trainings and workshops and as will as capacity building programs for both men and women

Our Geographical Coverage

ODSAD has a Head office in Kabul and a Liaison Offices in takhar, kundoz, and Badakhshan. it also has volunteers that assist ODSAD in various activities including consultancy, fundraising and help in establishing strategic contacts in Kunduz, Balkh, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Helmand and Herat, while need based project offices operate in Provinces where project activities are implemented
